1 can Bush's "seasoned" black beans
1/2 teaspoon olive oil
1/2 cup Freezer Sofrito
6 ounces of beer or fat free beef broth
some chopped cilantro
Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add the sofrito and cook until the water cooks out.
Stir and cook the sofrito as it sizzles in the olive oil for about 1 minute.
Dump in the beer (or broth), then stir in the beans, including the liquid from the can.
Bring to boil, then cover and reduce heat to low.
Simmer until beans are soft and creamy.
Remove the cover and simmer until they're as thick as you like them.
If they get too thick, stir in a little hot water.
Stir in the cilantro and serve.
