Some day I want to try to combine this recipe with Spiced Cranberry Sauce with Zinfandel
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
12 ounce bag fresh cranberries
Zest and juice of 1 orange
1 apple, peeled and chopped
1 pear, peeled and chopped
1/4 cup dried cherries
1/4 cup golden raisins
1/4 cup dried apricots, chopped
1/4 cup dried cranberries (sweetened)
1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
1/2 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1/2 t freshly ground nutmeg
Throw everything into a saucepan and simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cranberries burst.
